'Liars and preachers'
They're frae Scotland and bloody great. They play heavy stoner rock that has a distinctive sound but wanders somewhere between the heavy blues riffage of Black Sabbath and the technically proficient rock produced by the likes of Tool.
The vocals reflect the musical influences: Sabbath by way of Tool / Perfect Circle. Like Sabbath, they have scuzzy riffs, fairly simple drum patterns and sharp guitar solos that don't get too silly.
Played very very loud it's great. If you like stoner / heavy rock you should order this now - it's out on 27th October on Rising Records.
