Hello, friends,

Matt MiklosThere's a lot going in TtW-land, so let's get right to it! First off, thanks to everybody who sent messages of love and support for our bassist and dear friend Jeff Marron. Bass duties are currently being filled by our friend Matt Miklos (at left), whom you may have seen playing around CT in Game of Chance. Despite being the second Matt and third member to have a name that rhymes with "cat," Matt has stepped up to fill Jeff's big shoes in a short time. (Sick of rhyming, Nat will be changing his name either to "Ace Thunderstarr" or "Needles"-- voting to come. King Krupa needs no name change.)

If you want to hear second Matt's awesome bassery, you're lucky, because we've got two shows coming up with him! The first is a last-minute add for this Friday, September 18th. We're jumping on the bill at a brand-new club in Danbury, the Cutting Edge Theatre at the City Ale House. (Check 'em out at www.thecuttingedgetheatre.com. This place is beyond new and promises to be way sexy.) We'll be supporting Snowball 37 and rock magician/club owner David Martin (of NBC's America's Got Talent) at the Mystique Show. $7 cover, doors at 9, 21+, dress to impress. We should be going on at about 11:30. The addy is 253 Main Street, Danbury, CT. Oh yeah: $2.00 Buds and Buds Light all night. We can pretty much kiss Krupa goodbye...

Talking to Walls @ MEANY

Our next show is even more exciting. We've been selected to play M.E.A.N.Y.FEST NY 2009! M.E.A.N.Y (Musicians and Emerging Artists New York) is a yearly ultra band showdown weeklong party apocalypse battle-of-the-bands sort of thing. What this means for you is that we'll be pulling out all the stops to put on the greatest, wildest, most legendary show in Talking to Walls history-- and we need you to be there! MEANY shows include crowd voting to determine who goes head-to-head for the big enchilada. We're hoping to win, place, and show in all categories, but we think we have a great shot at the award for best band from outside NYC (its own category-- I know, I know). That means we need our beloved fans at the show to scream, dance, get plastered, and vote for us!

To sweeten the pot, as if hearing the mighty low end of Matt Miklos weren't sweet enough, we're shooting a music video and bringing in a few special guests. They'll include, but won't be limited to, legit-ass Irish step dancers from TtW alma mater Fairfield U! Led by Jenny Mingus, these ladies have already stepped their way into rock history by dancing for the Dropkick Murphys. Can you guess what song they'll be helping us out with?

The show is happening on Thursday, October 1st at the Delancey, a beautiful club in Manhattan. The address is 168 Delancey Street, NYC, 10002, and you can find them online at www.thedelancey.com. The show starts at 7 pm, and we're going on fifth. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW. I AM SO SERIOUS.

Take Me Home - VideoThat's it for the rock 'n' roll part. On the housekeeping end of things, we've got some new internet presence web 2.0 synergy dot com going down. A brand new, all-beautiful talkingtowalls.com, now with more pictures of Nat, will debut right before the show this Friday, September 18th, where we will hopefully webcast the show (follow us on Twitter for up to the minute details). We're also proud to announce our latest video, which we made with the help of our old friend Kurt Graser at Nut'Meg. It's a live studio video of Nat and Brian performing the new song "Take Me Home," which we debuted during the acoustic Half-and-Half Tour this summer. Check it out on the new website's video section, or hit us up on YouTube.

That's it! So if you're stuck in CT on Friday, hop up to Danbury for an awesome show and some cheap drinks. And if you're bound for New York, make sure to end up there on October 1st for the greatest rock circus in the history of extravaganzas.

Ciao for now,
Nat, Brian, and Das Kroop
