Life Without Dreams have contributed an old unreleased track
called 'White Light' on the upcoming Fugues Unreleased Tracks
compilation series.
some info:
This song was recorded and finished in two parts: most of it was in
2006 at Daniel's home and conclusively at Eswandy's home in September
this year. We abandoned the track initially because we simply did not
know where to go with it back then and unfortunately guitar looping
happened to be the rage...with every Tom, Dick and Harry doing it at
that time. Another thing was that it sounded quite similar to an
Observatory track (Enlightense) which bothered me quite a bit. Maybe
because it was too dark sounding as well. Then the contribution request
came along, we agreed to it and later on me and Eswandy wondered...what
could we use? Es mentioned about this abandoned track (which is now
White Light) and I thought, maybe we could try doing something to
'revive' it. Es changed the vocal lines a bit and added keys, we took
out some guitars....and when we put it all together, much to our
surprise it worked. I like Eswandy's singing in this tune because it
sounds like he was chanting a mantra instead of singing. We will put it
on the Myspace player after the compilation is released (if possible
buy the CD!)
We would like to thank:
Our new friend, the cool Frenchman
Monsieur Jerome Olivier
for inviting us to participate in the Fugues series. He is the only
other guy I know who is a huge fan of Mark Hollis and Talk Talk besides
from me. Merci beaucoup, monsieur!
Antoinette for putting up with our late night editing and for cooking.
Life Without Dreams are Daniel Lim + Eswandy Sarip + Fuzz Lee.

Official release info:
Collective/nebula created in Paris in 2005, Fugues will return this
autumn after more than a year of silence. Today refocused around the
tandem formed by founding member Jerome Olivier (words & ideas) and
Julie Calbert (photographs), Fugues was originally a collection of
interviews, contemplative prose writings and photographies published in
2006.
This single eponymous 'magazine' gave birth to a healthy series of
concerts and festivals in Paris, France : Fugues concerts, festivals
Meeting people is easy, merry.go.round evenings. Exhausted by the
ambient mediocrity, Fugues put an end to its live activities in summer
2008 after having hosted and supported the first steps in France by
artists such as The Sleeping Years, July Skies and Epic45.
The new and final installment of the 'Unreleased tracks' trilogy, a
series of CD-R compilations launched in 2007, will be available next
October 26th in a very limited edition on the debruit&desilence
label and distributor.
