This was my response to a friend's blog post saying that he thought RonPaul was a douche and that he was endorsing Kucinich I got a little carried away with news links and video links and I didn't even get to preview it, so I don't even know if it went through, so here it is, fixed up a bit.
Lately, I've been fancying myself a Kucinich man as well. However,
Ron Paul has intrigued me. Both candidates seem to be the only two (
possible exception of
Gravel) who ever speak about the issues that matter in a sane and coherent manner. I'm sure both have their faults. Ron Paul voted yes on a house resolution to "condemn" that stupid moveon.org "gen. betray us" ad. I find this retarded, yet maybe not so important. Kucinich and Paul are the
ONLY 2 who voted against the AIPAC-sponsored condemnation of UN Human Right Council for "choosing to
unfairly target Israel". I couldn't find
much of any substantiation for the claims that
Kucinich is friendly with AIPAC. I'm sure he's friendly with his
wife.
Anyway, I think the truth is that since they are each campaigning for seperate parties, there is probably not much point in competition between the two. The general consensus however, is that not one of these candidates have any realistic potential to win. In any unlikely scenario in which either of these guys achieve nomination in their respective parties, I would be inclined to vote for either of them.
