In this world we look to the saints in all of the worlds religions, and mostly think, "They must have alot to deal with! That looks like alot of work! When do they have fun?".  Its generally difficult for people my age today to admire even humanitarians for their earnest efforts in helping our society selflessly. I only say this because myself, when I've seen people who do great things in this world, it pretty much seemed like their life is boring and bland. Doesnt always look like the exciting, exillarating, adventure, with joy, comfort and peace I had always aspired my life to be.
How can this be? These people are the ones making it possible for us to have access to salvation at all in a world filled with demons ready to grab any profit possible from your suffering. We have been taught that sexy rockstars make people happy, especially becoming one yourself! Molding your life like business people who have received many boons will put you in a position to *finally* be an enjoyer! All of this so-called knowledge is false. Every material accomplishment contains the suffering of losing it.
To think that acheiving results of wealth, fame, strength, beauty, knowledge , or sacrifice will make you happy means you are in the diseased condition of life. None of these things actually garentee happiness, all of theses things are facets of your eternal life, but DO NOT ALONE give happiness. The only way we will be happy is if we detach ourselves from material things, and attach ourselves to the Absolute Truth; that we are always a servent, never the master. What then shall you serve? Will your career last beyond your death or will following in the footsteps of the servents of God? When the master is happy, the servent automatically becomes happy. Knowing we are the eternal servant of God = knowing happiness.
