Like fun? Yes, you do! So come out to the Birmingham Folk Festival this Sunday and have some with us!
What: the Birmingham Folk Festival
When: Sunday (10/11/09), from 10am until 10pm
Where: Avondale Park, 5th Ave S b/t 40th St and 42nd St (Google map)
Why: To promote regional music, see friends, have fun, and benefit the Friends of Red Mountain Park
13 regional bands, including some of our favorites, will be playing all day in the outdoor amphitheater. Good People Brewing Co will be on tap to keep you dancing. Festival food and crafts booths will also be on hand. You may have heard about it on Live 100.5 or the TV news morning show circuit, but to get the real experience you have to come out and see for yourself on Sunday.
Admission is only $10 (kids are free) and all proceeds benefit the Friends of Red Mountain Park and Black Warrior Riverkeeper. We are really excited to be a beneficiary of the Folk Fest this year. Many thanks to the organizers and sponsors for everything they are doing for regional music and the Friends of RMP!
