Frequently Asked Questions and General Information, Part One.

SEARCHING FOR YOUR SOUND?

So are we. It's actually all we care about. You won't find any huge egos or primadonna behaviour here. Just a professional, quick, friendly service with no timewasting. We believe the place for rock and roll attitude is onstage, not behind the mixing console. We know your best is inside you somewhere, and we want to bring it out for everyone to hear.
Our reputation is at least as important to us as yours is to you, and since we don't advertise in the conventional manner, it's all we've got.
Oh... that, and our impeccable track record!

There are no "typical" sessions. Every single artist is different and deserves to be treated as such. This is our secret... Tell everyone you know!

There's also bags of outboard including the legendary SSL mix bus compressor for making your mixes loud and proud. An accurate control room and five sets of monitors (ATC Eastmill SCM300, wonderful KRK E8's, NS10, AVANTONES, Epicure, and Panasonic and Pure blasters wired in permanently) ensure your songs will stay large all the way to the car or the radio.

WHAT ABOUT THE LIVE ROOM?

Quite simply put, the
Magic Garden drum sound kicks ass. Ask anyone who's been here. We have a huge concrete stairwell as the ultimate echo chamber for those John Bonham/Dave Grohl power rock drum sounds, a huge selection of mics, and the drum room itself is equally suited to very dry sounds too, We can record practically any drum sound currently in your head, your heart, or your record collection. We have a separate dead room for overdubs and vocals, it's very dead indeed, which gives an extremely focused sound, great for crushing rock guitar tones and intimate vocals.

Magic Garden
is purpose built to make music. It's not an afterthought crammed into someone's spare bedroom, it's been established over sixteen busy years with satisfied artists and hit records. A lot of hard work, constant updating and continual refinement continues to go into making it able to deliver the sound you want.
