Hey friends!

There are a lot of really cool things going on right now in my professional life.

First, my good friends Andrew and Dione Rose have started a management company, DOA Management to help us independents with many of those things that are often only available to the NY and LA S.A.G. talent.  They have a really cool concept in entertainment management that you can learn more about at http://www.doamanagement.com.   I have signed with them and am looking forward to helping them build their management company as they help me build my career.

DOA Management has re-launched my web-site.  You can find it at http://www.parrishrandall.com.  You can find my film resume, my demo reel, and updates on my projects there now as well as links to my MySpace, YouTube, and IMDB presences.  In the near future, DOA Management will add photographs of me whether they be headshots, film stills, or just shots of me having a good time  on-set or at conventions with fellow fans of independent cinema.

I am blessed as an actor to have been cast in some really kickass roles in some super awesome films shooting in 2009.  I am humbled and honored by the number of independent directors and producers who have contacted me recently to discuss casting me in their films.  I cannot discuss all of them at this time, but I promise to update all of you, my friends, as soon as the official announcements are made and I can talk more.

I have been cast in the lead role of Brother William for Horrorphile Entertainment's production of Jeremy Sumrall's POSSUM WALK, a nasty little horror story set against the backdrop of small town living in Texas.  We shot the footage necessary to cut a trailer for Texas Frightmare Weekend 2009, which was well received and all the buzz throughout the weekend.  We are finishing up location scouting and other such necessary pre-production tasks and will begin principal filming in the coming days.

Speaking of Texas Frightmare Weekend 2009, while there I was honored to have been part of Joe Francis' TEXAS FRIGHTMARE MASSACRE.  I was cast to play myself at a convention, but in a particularly rude and conceited manner.  The story Joe Francis has written is just good campy fun horror!  The cast and crew of TEXAS FRIGHTMARE MASSACRE pulled off quite the feat in shooting quality footage at the TFW convention.

I have also been cast as Sheriff Briar in Jennifer Stone's and Abel Berry's next film, KODIE.  These two young filmmakers are the sick minds behind the nasty little horror-revenge-slasher film, SPOILS, which I was lucky to have a small cameo appearance in.   SPOILS is available at amazon.com and I hope all of you pick up a copy of this film.  This couple are on their way to becoming great filmmakers and I am honored to being working for them in their next nasty slasher film featuring a unique and innovative killer character, again serving as testament to the spirit of independent horror!

I have also signed to appear in Anthony Brownrigg's next feature THE 8.  I am under a non-disclosure agreement, so I can really  say little more than I have been cast and more will be coming in the near future.  Anthony Brownrigg, as you may remember, is the incredibly talented writer, director, actor behind the 2008 horror comedy breakout hit RED VICTORIA, which is a film that I recommend  all to see.  It, too, is available on amazon.com.

There are some other deals in the works and I'll be updating you all here as will my management at the offiical Parrish Randall web-site.

Finally, Andrew Rose, Maegan Brownrigg, Amanda Carver, and I have partnered to create the Texas Blood Bath Film Festival 2009.  Brooke 'Ms Vampy' Lewis and I will serve as mistress and master of ceremonies.   I am particularly excited to be part of a project that will allow indie horror directors all over the US and world to submit their films to be shown to a large number of indie cinema fanatics, such as myself, over a three day period in November (13 through 15).  You can find all the latest and greatest news at the web-site http://www.texasbloodbath.com.

In closing, I hope all of you will listen Sunday nights to HorrorMovieFans.com Indie Horror Radio, hosted by me and produced by my manager and friend Andrew at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/hmfradio from 7:00 pm to 8:30 PM (central) to me interviewing the up and coming indie cinema talent and the legends of indie cinema.  All the latest news on that show are found here on MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/hmindie.

Yes, 2009 promises to be a good a year for Parrish Randall and to that I say "HELL YEAH!  IT'S TIME TO SPREAD THE RED FOLKS!"  Go out this week and buy and/or rent an independent horror film and support the filmmakers!  It's only through your support can the independent filmmakers continue to bring you films designed to horrify and terrify, while entertaining, you - the indepdendent fan of horror!
