As you all may know by now, we ran into a string of bad luck on the trip to Austin this past week. Rather than focus on negatives, there are some people I’d like to thank.
I want to thank our friend, Ee for filling in on bass with such short notice (a week or so and 2 practices to learn every song). We didn’t have enough time to tighten everything perfectly, but without him we wouldn’t have been able to play.
Andy Reitz for renting out his van. The timing was poor as there were electrical issues with the van, but Andy was on the phone with shops and walking us through any problems we had at any time of the night to make sure we got to Austin in time.
Matt at Pep Boys in Monroville, PA for driving us to the airport (about 40 minutes out of his way) at 11pm to pick up our rental car.
Dave from Fossil Free Fuels for hooking us up with a decent amount of veggie oil for the trip home.
Erin, our waitress at Hooters, for not knowing what a vegan is and thinking there’s no meat in a turkey burger.
Seneca, Lymbyc Systym, Junius, Constants, The Grasshopper Lies Heavy, Battlefields for the equipment most definitely, and Adai for bass equipment.
And finally, the Brooklyn Police for not accepting British currency as legal tender.
Thanks to those of you who came out. And stay tuned because we have some really exciting changes coming in the next couple months.
