Der Sommer naht, der International Spaceport Ibiza öffnet seine Clubpforten und Commander Väth und seine Mannschaft stehen in den Startlöchern - bereit für die Disco Invasion im Amnesia. Doch noch bevor das Amnesia gestürmt wird, sendet Commander Sven schon das erste Signal vom Planeten Minimal Techno Funk - mit der Cocoon Summer Mix CD und ihren Cosmic Electronic Grooves auf zwei CDs gibt er einen Vorgeschmack auf den Angriff der Disco Invaders.
Auf dem ersten Silberling öffnet Chris Tietjen seinen Plattenkoffer und hat mit Tracks von Newcomern wie Minilogue, Markus Fix oder Robert Dietz einen smoothen funky Mix zusammengestellt, der das Motto der diesjährigen Saison perfekt einfängt: groovy, funky, housy. Mit seinen 22 Jahren hat sich Chris in den letzten Jahren national wie international eine immer größere Fangemeinde erspielt und sich zu einem wahren Botschafter entwickelt, der es versteht, den Cocoon Vibe musikalisch wiederzugeben und ein Stück der Stimmung auf die Dancefloors dieser Welt zu tragen.
Die zweite CD knüpft nahtlos an den Sound der ersten an und versprüht ebenfalls einen groovigen und housigen Sound, der zum Sommer passt wie Cocoon zu Ibiza. Mit den Newcomern Reboot und Johnny D, die diese Scheibe gemeinsam gemixt haben, rücken zwei DJs aus dem Rhein Main Gebiet in den Vordergrund und verarbeiten in ihrem Mix auch unveröffentlichtes eigenes Material, womit sie dem Ganzen ihre spürbar eigene Handschrift verpassen. Während Johnny sein Debut auf Oslo Rec. gab, sorgte Frank mit seinem Release auf Cadenza für Furore.
