Well, in a follow up to a blog I posted about some students not knowing who John Edwards is (thankfully very few)….I thought you know what we need? I nice quick overview of the issues that the Senator will most likely want to talk about and some interesting facts about him that may be helpful for you guys when thinking about the dialogue and the questions you'll have for him on Thursday.

--He wants to create a national plan to pay ONE YEAR of public-college tuition, fees and books for more than 2 million students.
--Was the first candidate to create an agenda to address climate change, answering student activists and calling for a ban on all new coal plants.
--Edwards supports civil unions, but not gay marriage.
--While he wants to end poverty completely at home, by the year 2036, but has been criticized for that $400 dollar hair cut.
--Wants to have universal healthcare by asking businesses and government to work together and wants to create better health care markets that are more fair, diverse and extensive. And once insurance is affordable, require everyone to have it.
--Wants to stop the escalation and start an immediate drawdown of troops in Iraq.
--Wants to encourage and reward responsibility from fathers, requiring fathers on welfare to work and help them find jobs to help support single mothers. This is currently not a law in place for welfare reform.
--He wants to strengthen public schools by investing in good teachers and the retention of candidates in rural and urban districts.
--Wants to make sure we work with the cooperation of international community to aggregate intelligence to root out and shut down terrorist cells.
--Wants to control borders, stop illegal trafficking and at the same time end the backlog of background checks for people who already live in this country and are applying to become citizens. He does not think it is realistic to deport more than 12 million people, but rather believes that keeping families together should be a priority of immigration laws.

Some interesting personal facts:
--4 children (Wade, killed at age 16 in car accident), Cate (attending Harvard Law School, 25), Emma Claire, 9 and Jack 7.
--His wife, Elizabeth is battling breast cancer, they met in law school.
--His favorite musician is Bruce Springsteen.
--His favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption.
--First Car: Plymouth Duster

Okay, this is just a start….get your brains working and I know you will have plenty to ask about. Ask him to prove it, to back it up, counter his views, state your opinions and let's make sure these politicians know exactly how loud we can be!

xoxo

Balderdash, I say. I see another candidate full of hot air. I don't think these are realistic goals. Every time I see this many goals being set, I see about half (or less than half) of them actually getting done. So which half of these goals can we really expect to get done?

Thankfully he is addressing many of the hot buttons of today head on. Although many people have got this one particular issue twisted and are only operating on part of the truth regarding "global warming / climate change".

Unfortunately what the scientists in this community are not telling because of short-sightedness is this; the Earth's temperature does go up and down with time, this also corresponds to the rest of the universe, the cycle of the Sun spot activity, the relative rotational speed of Earth, also the resonance frequency of the Earth, it's known in electronics and general physics as the "Shuman Resonance". So what does this have to do with our current situation, everything.

We are not causing climate change per se, we are spurring it on to accelerate the normal activity of Earth, as if we were to remove us and our habitations on the planet. I have some news for you, if you try to stop this trend completely, Mother Nature nature is b*tch, it will come back to you in a more of an unpredictable form. You think the tornadoes and hurricanes, let alone the earthquakes are bad now, you haven't experienced anything yet.

The best we can do is reduce the man made mess that we have created, hopefully also going in a new direction as a world stage, together.

Note: There are technologies out there with only one moving part (the circuit breaker switch) that can power a whole five hundred thousand square foot building operating at full power on all circuits including all outlet being maxed out, the size of this device is no bigger than your average sized tower PC. How does it work? Based on an ancient technology that is older than that of the Egyptians, it's called free energy, some people in the scientific community call it "Zero Point Energy". You ask why more people don't have this? Simple, the people that are in control of the governments and militaries around the world don't want people to be independent of them, they would lose their power base (no pun intended, but go ahead and take it). It's all about politics, there are laws on the books in almost every country around the world that a device that does not need to use fuel and does not wear out in a certain amount of time is deemed of "military use". Can this technology replace engines in vehicles? Yes... Can this be used as a portable power source? Yes... Can this power a whole city? Yes, you need to scale up the size of the design but it's quite possible. There are already certain select military bases that use this technology.

Start demanding the truth from the government and militaries around the world. So we can move forward, stop relying on the oil industry. The reason why people don't see these devices on the market is the very why we are dependent on fuels, it all has to do with money, investors, and and political control / power. Follow the money people, if you want to know the truth.

On another note, referring to the war, it's time to bring out troops home. This is the reason, despite what people may think there is another area to look at. It was wrong for us to attack Iraq, there were numerous indicators that we should have never gotten into this mess. Even the sediments from General Powell basically came down to this, "Do you realize what that is going to do to that region of the middle east?", it made it very unstable at best. The president gave us a false reason to go to war, keeping us there for the very same reason. I will be very honest about this, the majority of the middle east have a different official religion in the United States, this is the first clash of culture, the second clash is that their religion like ours to some extend influences the existing governments and how they view outsiders (like us, the Americans, etc.), the problem is, the major of people really don't want us to interfere with their "civil war", it's their country, who ever wins this war in the country will take control, set up their own government. You have to remember this, they have been fighting for over 1,000 years, you cannot stop this fight yourself, you will only wind up a target of theirs. Our Council of Foreign relations have been doing some shady stuff for years against other countries. The reason why people in the other country hate the USA so much is the very same thing most people in the USA are oblivious to and know nothing about. It's time you start to investigate these areas. Basically, other countries, don't want to be the USA b*tch anymore and are putting up a fight. Sorry ladies and gentlemen of the USA, they that right, it's their country, they can run it the way they want without outside interference / influence.

Just think about it this way, what if the USA was brought down to it knees and the influential government was based on Islam. What would you do and how would you think? I bet you fight like hell too and rebel. Time to end the occupation and influence over all nations, not just from the point of the United States but expose all the "hooks and money" for what it really is. You don't go around making friends in the war by barging in there with weapons of mass destruction, calling them terrorist, we are doing the same.

War is terrorism on a grand scale, make no mistake about it!

Do you really think we can make peace come out of war?

It only makes more people suffer, after awhile it will turn to anger, after that aggression, then war comes back. Just remember this, what comes around goes around. So we are planning our own demise right now if we continue to go down this "bullying" road in the form of political and military actions.

Viacom International, you do an excellent job of presenting what the White House wants people to hear, see, and think through all of your media outlets and networks you own. So I cannot blame the American public for not knowing the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but.

Thankfully some of the people that work for you are allowed the freedom to get people out to the other facts regarding the candidates and elections coming up. Although through your contractual agreements I already know how far they can take it, which isn't total freedom, but it's a start.

You can compare the government to corporate America in this sense. You may have run into this already working in corporation, when you try to solve any one problem, someone will chime in as this, "It's too good... It's too successful... But that would be too easy!". It's time to stop using that type of mentality, that is what is destroying business, the lack of creativity and people that want to make us mental slaves of our minds. This type of mentality is also used in the government as well. It's all about common sense, which obviously is not too common or this stuff would have never occurred. People traditionally create problems in order for them to feel they are needed by a certain entity to get through the manufactured problem(s). This is ass backwards thinking people, it's time to look and move forward, not just in business, government, but our personal lives too. You can include everyone in the new way of thought, there will be more jobs for people without all the drama, death, and pain.

Bring the troops home! We were sent there for no good reason! We are staying there for no good reason! Same old reason, just different date and time! Is there a time for war, unfortunately yes, the last reason I saw to go to war was ironically World War II. The other wars are / were preventable via politics and sound economic decisions.

Something else to think about, there are people all across the world that make money on people who live, die, or just be. These people make money regardless of how the economy is going, they make the most amount of money when nations especially the United States go to war. That is just horrible, it's time to expose those people, for who and what they really are.

John Edwards, KNOWS he is the candidate who cognizant of the wider realities faced by the American people. This isn't just something he came up with, he has consistently spoken on behalf of these wider issues. One America isn't a catch phrase, it's his sincere desire to end the corporate desire to impose a caste system in America. He will enforce American wage standards workplace protections, end bad trade deals and the undermining of our environmental and other protections.

I am supporting John Edwards because I have researched him as a candidate, on his track record and stances in the past. He walks the walk and that is paramount for me. I lost my husband in '06 to a lymphoma he didn't need to die from. He had no access to health care, despite having been certified as disabled because he needed an organ transplant and was too sick to work any more. He had medicare, but our overburdened health care system made cuts in services and would no longer accept patients with only medicare, he went without the specialist he needed and the lymphoma went undiagnosed until it was far too late. He died three weeks after his diagnosis. He would have stood a greater chance of surviving had he the specialist who would have diagnosed the lymphoma at a far earlier stage with the standard blood tests they would have given him to follow the progression of his condition. That said, there are Americans who are going through situations as bad and worse.

John Edwards would work to insure that instead of having third world standards imposed on the US, that we would protect our citizens, and demand that other countries who wish to trade with us, that they raise their peoples wage standards and opportunities. He will reduce poverty and ensure that there is a saner, happier an healthier future.

I think that Bruce Springsteen is so associated with America, its almost a pre-programmed answer to say that "The Boss" is your favorite music when running for office. No offense to Bruce, tho.
