January 20th will undoubtedly be a day that will go down in as one of great importance in American history. The obvious reason that jumps out at all of us is that we have our first African American to hold the office of President. But, it goes much deeper than that. As I looked out at the monstrous crowd that assembled to witness the Inauguration it dawned on me just how historical the moment was. America is clearly at a cross roads. I thought that President Obama nailed the issue squarely during his momentous speech. We have been the world leaders for a long time, but that dominance is in great jeopardy.
I think it is apparent that everyone senses that. As the President said, there are obvious, measurable signs of our back slide but the immeasurable feeling of confusion and fear that is hovering over the entire country is even more of an issue. Americans have always answered the bell when it was all on the line. I honestly believe that Obama is the leader that we need to get everyone working together, both Democrats and Republicans, to do what is necessary to reestablish our once prolific way of life.
I can only imagine the feelings of pride and satisfaction that all African Americans felt today. The atrocities that their ancestors had to endure were a disgrace. I am sure that like many, I was anxiously waiting for President Obama to mention Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream about racial equality and how his election was that dream come true, but I was very surprised that he spent little energy addressing that issue and rather focused on his newly elected office and the overwhelming job that is in front of him. In the largest celebration ever in Washington DC, he did not absorb the adulation, he got right to work and addressed everyone around the world and put them on notice that there was a new sheriff in town.
I did not vote for Obama. I did not think that he had the experience to lead us in this critical time, but I freely admit that after today, I am proud to have him representing all of us in this time of crisis. I believe with all my heart that we are about to experience a historic administration that will be the best thing that has happened to America in a very long time. Obama speaks with unflappable confidence. He has the broad shoulders we all need him to have. I know a little bit about infusing people with belief, and he is as good as anyone I have ever seen.
He expects to win! He expected to win the election against all the odds, and he is doing the same with the difficult battle ahead of him. I don’t think there is any question that President Obama is a clear example of The Law of Attraction working miracles right in front of us.
What are you expecting during the next four years? Are you trying to survive? That is what the haze of fear that is hanging over America is forcing people to do. That is NOT the answer. You should be planning to Thrive in these upcoming times. This is the time to take Massive Action in all areas of your life. Pay the price, as our newly President is asking you to do. Deliver value at your job and in your home. Learn from Obama’s attitude and demeanor. If everyone thought and acted with his conviction and purpose, we would be out of our crisis in within weeks.
He ended his speech remembering the immortal words of George Washington following a devastating battle in America’s fight for freedom over 200 years ago. Our forefathers could never imagine the greatness that has sprung from their dreams back then. We take so many of our freedoms and liberties for granted as Americans. I strongly suggest that you travel abroad and find out for yourself how God had indeed blessed America. We all need to realize that freedom is not free, and while our soldiers are literally giving their lives for our freedoms as we speak, it is time that all of us to value our phenomenal lifestyles as Americans and do whatever it takes to get our country back to where she belongs. Back to the place that our ancestors deserve it to be, for all they had to sacrifice to create it.
It was a true blessing to witness the sea of emotionally charged Americans in the crowd today. Regardless of your political convictions, I urge you to join in with our President and join the feeling of unity that today initiated.
Yes, this will definitely go down as one of the most historic days in our great history. I am proud to be an American and will be praying for God to bless our President and his entire administration. I urge you to do the same.
