Can we use sounds to portrait someone? Can we paint using vibrating air to obtain a sound that represents something? What if sound could be used to design features belonging to other sensory spheres? Choosing a particular frequency could help to evocate a thin nose? A granular light? The fragrance of morning after a sunrise full of small rain? The taste of a coffee?

I have contributed a track to this excellent project. You can download the compilation for free @- http://www.nexsound.org/ns58.html

It is well worth a listen & features tracks by maps & diagrams, (etre), he can jog, etc

Thank you for this excellent link - this is a great project and I look forward to digging deep.

I have added a forum post at the freesound project where I am user ERH. Apart from being a resource for free sound downloads, there are many sound artists there who I am sure will find this as fascinating as I do.
