i wish that I knew what the upper executive of Kodak is thinking. Right now they have no direction. The photographic lab that I use in Vancouver, BC uses a Kodak program called ProShots in order to upload files to them for printing. I also use this program to put wedding proofs online for my clients to view and order from. Kodak sends me a registered letter that cost them $10.50 USD to tell me that they are cancelling this program at the end of the year. This is so typical of their thinking. A few years ago they introduce an outstanding pro digital camera Pro 14N that is relatively small and very high resolution. A couple of years after introduction they stop making it and will no longer service it. So don't buy one on eBay!!! There is no direction in Kodak any more. Now that the world has gone digital they have no idea what to do. There is no long term planning going on in Kodak any more, they seems to be scrambling to stay afloat. It would not surprise me at all to see this icon in the photographic world be split up and sold off to different companies within 10 years, if not sooner. If you look over the years at what products that Kodak has introduced all the time saying that this is the best thing to come along in photography, remember APS and Disc film, only to stop production a few years later saying it was not popular enough. After how many thousands of consumers have invested in these products. Kodak does not do any long term planning or market research prior to introducing new products and will continue to lose market share until they are worth nothing more than bargain basement junk bonds and will die a slow death that no one will notice. Do they really think that coming up with a new logo will save them? But of course this is only one persons opinion.
