The San Diego Star Wars Society, along with Blockbuster on Balboa Avenue in Clairemont, are throwing the only FANBOYS DVD release party in San Diego on Monday May 18th from 6pm - 1am. Simply reserve your copy of Fanboys for $5 at the Balboa Avenue blockbuster before May 18th, and you'll be eligible to win one of many Star Wars prizes to be given out that evening. In addition, everyone reserving their copy of Fanboys will receive a laminated "party pass", and the first 30 people to reserve their copy, will receive a promotional fanboys mini comic that is a prequel to the FANBOYS movie. The first 150 people to reserve their copy, will receive a collectible 30th anniversary Star Wars bracelet.
Also on hand that evening will be Star Wars costumed characters. One of them actually appeared in the Fanboys movie as a stormtrooper. Also on display will be an autographed Fanboys script, and various props/costumes used in the movie. You will also get to see hundreds of behind the scenes photos taken during the filming of the movie.
Starting at midnight, blockbuster will be screening the Fanboys movie, and you will be able to purchase the movie at that time.
