  • Remove bandage after 1-2 hours.  If bandage sticks to tattoo, wet the area with lukewarm water and slide the bandage off.
  • Wash the area gently with mild soap and water, using clean hands and making sure to remove all excess ointment, blood and ink.  Pat dry with a clean towel.  DO NOT SCRUB.
  • Apply a VERY THIN LAYER of bacitracin or A&D ointment 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days.
  • After that, apply a mild fragrance-free moisturizing lotion until the tattoo settles into the skin (2weeks to one month).  Curel or Lubriderm work well. 
  • NO SUN for 2 weeks.  NO SWIMMING or SOAKING for 2 weeks, NO SCRATCHING OR PICKING YOUR TATTOO
