When I was four my mum asked me to choose between ballet lessons or piano lessons. It was either / or, so as not to disrupt my school studies. Being a lover of dance (an expert four-year-old!) I opted for ballet, yet my mum was happier to decide for me and sent me to my grandmother Elsie for (free!) piano lessons . I don't regret her decision one bit!! (especially since it turns out I'm not that good a dancer after all haha (or as my Mum diplomatically puts it, I am a better singer).

Well, my grandmother taught me almost everything I know at the piano today. She literally gave me the music. Without the piano I would not be writing the songs I write. I would not be the artist I am. Sadly she passed away exactly 2 months ago which is why I chose today, the 10th, to share this "very personal secret" to you all. Her maiden surname was Haber so I've decided to carry her name wherever the music takes me. She deserves to be remembered!

So, love to you, my favourite pianist, because you will be forever in my heart!!
This should end the speculation as to why I am suddenly CARRIE HABER! and..... no , I did not got married :)
