Hello Friends,

Little did I know that doing some work out in my yard would almost kill me, but it did. I inhaled dust in the air that set off a huge asthma attack that kicked my ass! 911 was called to the scene and they had to tube me and put me into a drug indused coma which I was in for two days. I was in the intensive care unit for three days and recovery for two days for a total of five days in a hospital bed. I was released from the hospital with a very sore right leg, but thought little about it until after a week I could barely walk and it was swollen quite a bit. I went to see my personal doctor who told me that I had a blood clot in my leg and I was sent back to the hospital for testing. The testing showed that I had a huge deep vein blood clot starting at my ankle and going all the way up to my crotch...OUCH!!! The pain was intense and I had to stay off my leg for weeks, all together I was bed ridden for three weeks. I'm slowly getting better or so I thought until this weekend I noticed that my leg is swelling up again and though the pain isn't near as bad as it was, it is making a come back. I'm sick of the blood thinners and getting poked in my arms 1 to 2 times a week, and I'm sick of hospitals ( they should have had me in leggings during my initail stay to prevent clotting ) but it looks like I may have to go back because the clot may be headed to my lungs which can be fatal or to my brain that can cause a stroke. I just want to ROCK!!!! Our new songs are almost finished and we will post them as soon as I can be at 100% I will have my bass tech. cut my lawn from now on which is much cheeper than my $53,000.00 hospital bill and if I'm ever in the hospital again for more than a couple of days I will sneek and drink plenty of vodka to keep my blood thin. The Loons will start booking shows soon even if I have to play in a wheelchair, I promise you that! Well my peoples, I must take some more pain killers and float away.......................John.
