Okay, I'm having some serious thoughts about having a karaoke machine set up in the bar. It's become an institute at most parties I've been going to (WIcO people you know who you are) and it's such a winner. So bad but so good.
Jez (Slackers) suggested I have some food. Not really in my budget, but maybe I can find some catering company to be a sponsor. That would be SUPER cool. Soak up booze so we can drink more. Yes.
I've got the DJs lined up for both nights which is pretty cool. On Monday night, Dan & Jon are gonna play some downtempo house music, maybe putting it up a notch if people start getting twitchy on the dancefloor. On Tuesday night, Grant is playing records from his highly eclectic but quality collection, ranging from 1960s garage music to strange electro. Maybe I can con my other DJ friends to bring some records down & jump on the decks too. I hope my other DJ friends don't read this : - /
