Ever heard of this 10000 steps a day thing?  My sister told me about it the other day and I decided to look into it.  I posted an article about it on my new blog.  Yep, my new blog.  After using blogger since 2004 on the back end of my formerfatguy.com website, I launched a new weight loss blog called formerfatguyblog.com.

It has all the features of wordpress and of course the ability to use plugins and shit.  I've used WordPress for a good number of my blogs and am writing a new book about Basic Blog Building.  Haven't launched that site yet or the book, but I've got two students who are going through the process I'm outling in my book.  The name?  Blog Building Basics of course.  I thought about blogging 101, but that was taken.  I'll let you know when the book gets launched of course.  Wordpress is, in my opinion, the best blogging platform that there is.  Easy to install, use and customize.

Wrote an article about the new Kentucky Fried Chicken bowl that they're calling the KFC Chicken and Biscuit bowl.  Have a look over it.  You might be suprised at what I have to say about it.

Also posted some  testimonials I've received from my readers .

On the new blog, I answered a readers question about Food Combining vs Burn The Fat as well as launched the new blog with a post about How I Lost 300 Pounds. Good reading both

I decided to add a bunch of features to the new blog.  Added a link directory where people can buy links in various fitness and weight loss categories as well as a weight loss forum. I've always wanted to have a forum where readers could build a community and share their thoughts on all sorts of topics related to weight loss, fitness and health.

As for the link directory, there's not much link juice there right now, but there soon will be.  I'm working hard on gaining PR for the entire site which will benefit the link partners.  I also created another website to get links. It's at Rankalicious.  The features of buying links on that website is that I use the RSS feed to be able to post the recent links and the top links on 3 other websites.  One in the sidebar of all the pages of a soon to be popular blog and then on two other static pages, so by buying a single $1 link, you actually get 4. Great marketing

What I like about the link directory on my new blog is that it's category based.  Links are available in the Bodybuilding, Dieting, Fitness, Health, Personal Trainer, Sports or Weight loss categories.  I'm doing the same thing here with the extra links.  The top 5 links will be displayed in the footer of all my pages permanantly (as long as they're not outbid by someone else), while the recent links will have a temporary position in the footer of all pages.  Bid higher and get a longer lasting link.  You can thank me now, lol.

The beautiful thing about bidding for position is that the higer the bid, the better PR you're going to receive.  If you want a place in the footer of all my pages, just make sure you bid high enough for your link than the others who've bid ahead of you.

Link building is a science and I'll be covering it in my new book as well.

Oh, and Harvey Diamond, if you're reading this, I'd like to ask if you would want to be the moderator of my Fit for life / food combining forum ?
