Cardiff Giant? Today in 1990, the largest known leatherback turtle went on exhibit at the Cardiff National Museum & Gallery in Wales, after washing up on the Harlech beach a year earlier. Over 2000 pounds, 8 feet long, it was estimated to be at least 100.

Holy shit that is a HUGE turtle.  The first time I read the blog the picture didn't come up.  But now I see.
