yes, sometimes i write about politics and weighty issues. and other times i feel it is incumbent upon me to draw attention to truly sublime works of art. like this song/video from 1977. arguably the finest music video(and song)ever made. i mean, why else was the internet invented if not to share videos from 1977 about animated american potatoes?

It's good to remember that 1977 was home to things other than punk and pub rock

It would be better if she would look over at the potato, rather than down to the ground where he isn't at. Did you notice that (especially at the beginning of the video) she looks down left and he is to the right? She isn't actually looking at the potato most of the time when she looks down. That was a mistake of the person that made the video that didn't make sure the potato animation was down where she was looking. Other than that it's good.

Good Afternoon My Heart,

I think I said "Good Morning" on my other posts, silly goose I am, giggles.....It's already almost 1 p.m. and I need to leave to do errands before work, but wanted to check this out before I left, as I've been very bad about keeping up with most of your posts the past few days. I'm sorry about that. I've not been coming online as much.

Oh my this video is so sweet!! Lil Brayden will love it. I know he will and I will always think of this funny little potato whenever I cook potato's. Giggles and of course *you*, because *you* introduced this to me. I've never heard Rita Pavone's music before. Very sweet. Does she sing for children? Very fun song with an adorable sense of humor and I so love when the little  potato dances and his little butt goes up in the air, giggles......Too cute and funny oh my I want to tickle that little potato. Hee hee..... (kind of like the effect that the Pillsbury Dough Man has on me. I want to pinch his adorable his adorable fat cheeks or tickle his tummy)...Giggles....

Thank *you* for sharing and for making my day more smiley and delightful my love.

Hugs, Love, Kisses Tickles & Cuddles,

Your Love Always Rachelle, Lil Brayden & Pets

thanks for posting-its good to remember that while we categorise our years and genres like so many sliced pies that the europeans are also producing their own culture irrespective of what the west does.. its a rich diverse world and its a pity we dont embrace other cultures as much as we embrace our own.. (More art pls Moby!)

haha! odd! italians had a great sense of humor at that time. my favorites on youtube: the "chrystal orchestra" from "the boat sails" of fellini and the animated short movies of "signor rossi" (the oly one i found in english: mr. rossi at photo safari)
