A raucous and rollicking, folkin' and rocking Folk Machine will explode all over the Norfolk Basement on Friday Nov 6 to unleash their brand spanking cranking new single "Pockets Full of Gold." "Pockets Full of Gold" is the first taste of the new album they've been working on for the past 12 months, "Walking to China" due out early next year. The Folk Machine will be ably and honourably supported by extra special guests Xave Brown & His Magic Band, Hang On St Christopher and Mitch Becker. First 50 through the door get a free single. ****************************************************** SINGLE LAUNCH TOUR... The first single from their much anticipated second album (due out early 2010) delivers two tracks, Pockets Full of Gold and a very jealous B-side, Miss Whisky, recorded at Couch Studios and co-produced with Shaun O-Callaghan. Pockets Full of Gold, set to a hypnotic swing with sinister slide guitar and ghostly harmonies, tells the true tale of the mysterious shipwreck of The General Grant after leaving Victoria's Goldfields in 1886. Miss Whisky is a rollicking whimsical love story about a very attractive bottle of whisky. The seduction, the good times and the inevitable tragic end. Listen to the washboard tell it like it is. Hope to see ya somewhere on the way. The Justin and the Folk Machine
