I'm reliably informed by the Devil's resident linguist that Italian nu gazers Thee Piatcions name is Italian for 'people trying to please anybody', which is surely ironic as the three tracks on their new EP sound like they are people trying to please themselves.

The band's debut single is out now containing three tracks so authentic they must have been cryogenically frozen in 1966 and thawed out by a mad Italian scientist in some wierd garage rock experiment. 'Fireworks Generation' and 'Mary Mary' sound like original artyfacts from the first psychedelic era, kinda like The Sonics after dipping their cocks in a beehive, or maybe the 13th Floor Elevators with ants in their pants. The final track 6 1/2 minute long 'Homeless Blues' is more laid back sounding like Oasis if they'd preffered 'Easter Everywhere' to 'Sgt Peppers'.
It's may only be rock 'n roll but I love it.
