These days, singer/songwriters are coming out of the woodwork, and as a result there is the constant necessity for them to do something to make their music stand out more than the next guy's. Mike Aho, creator of ((Sounder)), does this fairly well by mixing the warm, organic sound of traditional instruments with the cold, calculated feeling brought on by the use of digital instrumentation. This music is very reminiscent of the output from projects such as Onelinedrawing, The Rum Diary, and Magnet. It's relaxing without making the listener sleepy and catchy enough to keep you listening. Aho has a great ear for composition, and he seems to know when to use each style perfectly. This comes highly recommended. -Josh Eck
