I started with listening to The Carter family's version of I'm thinking tonight of my blue eyes on the web radio station Jango http://www.jango.com/stations/25012299/tunein?proxy_id=20794277&song_id=146888
Then I searched the net to find the lyrics, because I couldn't quite hear the words and wanted to so bad. And here comes what I think is so exciting: various artists have recorded the melody, only with other lyrics to it.
Here's one, a novelty:

But this is The Best One:

When I saw the lyrics, it felt the warm, soft breeze the wings of country music history made when they passed through my heart. Its title is so appropiate: Song of songs. I can't do nothing else but to agree with this line in it: Oh! those notes must come straight out of heaven.
