A Merry Christmas of our Lord from PelicanRadio.com! – In this our second edition of the PelicanRadio.com Monthly Flyer we want to wish you and your loved ones a CHRISTmas filled with the Love and Peace that Christ brings. Isn't it ironic that one of the most special times of the year for Christians can also be one of the most challenging? Why is it that we can so easily lose sight of the real meaning of Christmas and get entangled in the superficial aspects? While there's nothing wrong with the parties and the gift-giving per se, it saddens me when I catch myself unaware of what I'm doing during this time. Here at PelicanRadio.com we hope and pray that this Christmas will be a special time of rebirth in all of our hearts of His Love for us.

More music – With the beginning of the Advent Season we have added Christmas music to our programming. We are playing one hour of Christmas music every two hours of regular music to give you a little taste of the Season. We are trying to have a balance of more traditional "Jingle Bell" type songs with Christ-centered Christmas songs to feed the spirit during this special time. We have also increased our regular play lists to a 1200 song rotation from last month's 1000 songs. We hope that you enjoy them!

Programming – We are still planning to add short meditations for your listening and spiritual enjoyment, but it's proving to take more time than originally expected. Please be patient as we slowly gear up. By the New Year we will also be adding some of our first non-musical programming thanks to the generosity of Franciscanradio.org. We will be adding three new features, a daily one-minute "Saint of the Day" meditation, a weekly variety radio show called "American Catholic Radio" and a weekly meditation of  Sunday's Bible readings called "Sunday Soundbites". So while our main focus will continue to be music, we will slowly begin adding some more audio programming for our spiritual benefit.

Growth – We have all heard the cliché that it's not about "quantity, but about the quality" that counts and while that is fine for most endeavors, we firmly believe that we should grow in quantity to spread The Word as far and wide as possible, always keeping in mind to maintain the quality and especially the Truth of the Message. With this in mind we want to post the latest listening numbers for your review:

 Month      TLH     Launches     Presets

Growth (continued) - While growth has not been astronomical, it continues to steadily increase. The main unit of measurement is the Total Listening Hours (TLH), which have increased by 41 hours (6%) from October to November. The Launches are the total times that the station has been launched or turned on by an individual, which increased by 10 (3%) from October to November. And finally another indicator is the amount of Presets, which means the amount of registered Live365 users, who have PelicanRadio.com as part of their preset favorite stations, which increased by 13 (13%) from October to November. November also had the largest single audience for a day with 85 TLH on November 2^nd, that was until December 4^th, when a new record was set with more than 110 TLH hours in one day! Please remember that there are two main ways to help us… By listening as much as possible and by spreading the word. We humbly thank you for your continued support!

My Space – Yes… who can believe that PelicanRadio.com has a MySpace webpage? Well, it turns out that it is a way to bring Christ to those that are not necessarily looking for Him.
