Current mood:  artistic
So I spent all evening yesterday altering and sewing a new skirt for Dani to wear to XILE tonight. I realized during my sew-fest that I really enjoy sewing. I can do it for hours and hours and I never get bored. My fingers hurt a little bit considering that I didn't use a thimble and I was sewing through denim, not to mention I stabbed myself in every finger possible:P

  Anyhow,  I was looking up music from the late 90's and checked out some ska bands  and was reminded of The Aquabats. This song Fashion Zombies made me think of last night, so I had to post it in honor of making sexy skirts for my friends.

Spike, if you read this, maybe you can send me a pic of yourself in that skirt I made for you to post in my portfolio also :)

See them creep out to nightlife

These children of the undead look dressed for the endless Halloweens
and this horror like production,
takes total dedication
of black clothes and pale complexions
Rock jet black hair to match their makeup

And who can blame them?
They walk through asphalt cemeteries
Zombie fashions—
They must have been born that way

These fashion zombies don't walk this world alone

So lock those doors and windows
They crawl the malls to shop
For tight black jeans and spiky belts
and scissors for the Zelda cut
and there is no explanation
These creatures are just victims
Dressed in expensive fashions
To look like they crawled out of coffins

And who can blame them?
They walk through asphalt cemeteries

They must have been born that way

Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To accessories their black zipper hood
and monster children with monster faces
Are looking for love in all the wrong places

And who can blame them?
