Pentameters continues to present as part of its 40th Anniversary, and in memory of the renowned playwright and poet ROBERT CALVERT 1945-1988, the premiere of 2 one act plays, directed and produced by Léonie Scott-Matthews.

The Glass-Bottle and The Child by Emma D'Arcy (an early friend of Calvert's) is set in the late 60's after the Summer of Love 1967. It depicts the love, loss and hope of a young woman, played by two actresses, Rachel Hepworth and Georgia Cardy.

Cattle at Twilight by Robert Calvert, is a fantasy about Noel Coward (Jonson Wilkinson), Jimi Hendrix (Durassie Kiangangu), and Janis Joplin (Georgia Cardy). It is set in a celestial zone and was originally published in Sounds in 1974.

Mirror, Mirror by Robert Calvert, a futuristic comic fantasy, set in 2050, was written in 1979 by Calvert for his friend Helen Mirren. It portrays Eleanor Bryant (Amanda Sterkenburg) her Psychechromic dress, and a Mirror Engineer from Reflexotronics (Luke Bennett).

The sets are and sound are designed by the Pentameters Company in collaboration with Godfrey Old.
