US TOUR #2

Tues was a trip scrambling around like a chicken w/o a head, trying to get everything together.  Twas much Murphy’s law applied to the day and I was looking forward to finishing and getting on the way.  Left my p hone charger at work the day prior but thankfully Jeremy had to work down that way and he recovered it for me.  I’m actually presently in the back of the van sitting Indian style(ha) on our futon mattress and it’s hard to read because the back seems to bounce a bit more.  This is the first tour we did w/a trailer and the space is unbelievable.  We probably may go though a bit more gas but the comfort is way worth the extra cash.  Soooo Tues eve we had a going away dinner and Kevin und I cooked up one of the most amazing dinners.  We had shitloads of garlic, eggplant, red pepper, fresh basil, spinach and clams cooked in A LOT of olive oil thrown over angel hair pasta…of course it was spicy w/lots of cayenne pepper…and Kevin made this delicious fried TALAPIA w/a mango butter sauce(which I couldn’t eat but it looked SICK)…oh yea garlic bread and yummy red wine…so we had a 111 house meeting after and I got back to packing…got to bed rounds 3:30ish and got up at 10:30 to play the radio show but then I found out that we were supposed to play at noon…ICCHHH!...egad…I thought the show was at 1…anyway we scadaddled over and played Radio Active Lunch w/Adam and it went great  ….91.3 Vassar radio….then went back to the house  and collected the remainder of what I needed and whilst Jeremy organized the van, Pete N and I drove out to the bank, motor vehicles and to pick up our new T shirts which r still the same but we needed more for the tour.  After Jeremy packed he went out to Pete’s Auto in Fishkill(an amazing friend and great mechanic) and to get the drivers window fixed.  Pete N and I stopped in town to do a few thangs(saw Erica Q and she also gave me a lot of contacts for the road..:) and then we stopped at 111 to do the once over and went on our way to Fishkill to meet Jeremy.  When we got there I was told that the part they sent for the window was the wrong part…Hence, meaning that now we presently don’t have access to a window…grrr…love me some air but oh well…if it’s not thang it’s another…lol…went over a few things said good bye’s.  Drove out to NYC played a great gig at THE ACE of CLUBS met a few cool peeps Joe, Joel, Doug and some girl named Liz.  My friend Rigel came down w/a few peeps and Anna my roommate came..:)…afterwards I had my favorite meal from Under Acme…Blackened Calamari …mmmmmmm!...sold like 5 cdss which helped contribute to gas…BTW…Buster just came over to say hello..oh man do I love that lil guy!...:)…great dog..i’m so glad he’s here…sooooo we then made our way out to North Carolina…we stopped to get gas at this rest stop and whilst I was sitting outside readiing(I am reading an amazing book called “till we have faces” by CS Lewis) this guy and friends drove by and asked about our tour(I guess it looked obvious)  His name was Jake Clemins and he was an awesome guy who actually also bought a cd…☺…so we went back in and Pete drove for a while and we crashed for a few hours in a rest area…Jeremy couldn’t sleep well so he started driving again…I couldn’t sleep too well either and sometimes u can’t tell if u slept at all.  After a while I picked up the driving and then Pete N took over…we’re presently near Durham and I’m going to sign off..we need to get a pad lock  for the trariler…we borrowed one from Joe last night…we also found a great parking spot RIGHT in front of the club…DAMN!!...:) …we just finished reorganizing the van and we’re developing a system for our new home…we bought supplies at the evil empire wal mart and also cooked oatmeal in the parking lot…I’m in chapel hill right now and we’re getting ready to play THE CAVE…peace
