Current mood:  chipper
Category: Music

Since learning (months ago!) that Soda Stereo was reuniting for a limited number of shows, I've been on this obsessive high. With every new bit of news, my mania would just reignite itself. And, even now, six days after the gig, I still wake up with their choruses in my head.

Everyone's pretty tired of me going over every single detail of the show and searching for good video on Youtube (my videos and photos suck!). But, I can't get over having just seen one of my favorite bands, who broke up ten years ago, give an energetic, flawless performance in a crowd of 20,000 people who chanted along to every song. It was an amazing, sweaty, smushy, beautiful experience (which made me realize that I miss going to shows). I wish I had not been so cheap and forked over another $140+ for their Tuesday concert as well.

I'd love to sit down and write out the very long, detailed post that the event deserves, but I'm still in Miami. I'll try to get to it before I get home -- or forget!

The crowd went pretty crazy during this song. It's the first time that I had a significant position shift in the entire night. (I was standing third from the rail near the lead singer and behind two cute Argentine boys who refused to let me stand in front of them even though I'm way shorter. I tortured the tall one all night long for this offence. He did pick me up when I almost fell, though. Kinda loved him.) Everyone was jumping. I was getting elbowed and beat from all sides. This is my favorite song, too.

You know, because they're Argentines -- and Argentines are known for their thinness and high rates of plastic surgery -- I thought that the crowd would be full of blinding beauties. But, there were people from every Spanish-speaking country there.. And, well, as my sister-in-law said, I happened to land smack in between the two cutest Argentines in the place.

getting elbowed and beaten during a crazy night like that is to be expected.
