All My Friends Look Like Jesus
Dirty York from the album Waiting On St. George
Dirty York is a 5-piece band from Melbourne who like to play loud,
hard and honest. Although inspired by the likes of the Rolling Stones,
Led Zeppelin and The Black Crowes, Dirty York have moulded their own
take on the classic Southern Rock style. The band has developed a sound
reminiscent of those halcyon days of Australia’s burgeoning Pub Rock
scene. Songwriter and guitarist, Luke Teys, has a strong outlet in
Dirty York for the full expression of his riff-driven amalgam of sweaty
Blues Rock. ‘Waiting On St. George’ is the title of Dirty York’s debut
album, whilst “All My Friends Look Like Jesus” gives as good an
introduction to the Dirty York sound as one could hope for. The
swaggering vocals of Shaun Brown also hint at his talent as a
formidable Aussie Rock frontman. - OzTrax, Monday April 20, 2009.

[twitter] Song title of the day: Dirty York's 'All My Friends Look Like Jesus'. Even the girls?
Sounds
a lot like Black Crowes to me, but there's a lot of skill evident in
this song. Plus, I love the title. Do the girls look like Jesus too?
