For the next two weeks, there is a good chance I will be x-posting my entries across social networking sites. If you see two entries by me with the same title, they are likely the same entry.

HOLY CRAP. All my complaining and being freaked out and moments of PANIC have led to this home stretch:

I have 10 days until my thesis is to be handed in:
It's due at noon, December 10th. And to make this even more scary, I have a super hard final the day before my thesis is due, so in 9 days. Eek!

That means for the next 10 days, you'll be seeing entries like this one. AHhhhhhhh

I've printed out daily schedules, hour-by-hour for the next 10 days, in hopes of actually *gasp* finishing my semester.

With all this stress, I've been having really intense nightmares, sometimes several in one night. In the most memorable one, I was attacked by dozens of dragonflies. They were relatively normal in size, but for some reason didn't like me. They'd land in my hair, fly straight towards me, and generally freak me out. I remember beating them with a chair, the only thing nearby. Of course they are much smaller than chairs, so it was ridiculous. I remember hitting them away with my hand and feeling their strange scaled bodies and multitude of gripping legs.

I usually don't have a problem with dragonflies, fact, two weeks ago I had one appear in my apartment, and I tried to save it from my pouncing kitties, but it died shortly later. I saved the dead creature until I could get it in a jar and give it to my friend, Flannery. She's a fan of bugs, and I thought it would get more attention in her office than anywhere else. I ended up carrying this baby-food jar, sans label, with a dead dragonfly in it for at least two full days before I actually got it into her hands. She seemed pleased.

More panic to come soon! Whee!

Wish me sanity and hard work, for I am in desperate need of both!

You are an incredible, hard working, intelligent woman who can accomplish anything she puts her mind to! You will do a wonderful job, I have no doubt in my mind! Good Luck with your work, although I don't think that you will need it! When you are done I will be too...and we will celebrate with a little Marios...

Preach on sister! I too am screwed with the academic deadlines. Mine are the 8th and the 12th. So when we are both finished I say we catch dinner!
I have been there and I remember crying on the phone begging my ex to help me edit before everything was due that day. I highly recommend asking nerdy friends for help if at all possible. Sorry to hear about the nightmares, but academia will do that to you; I got tachycardia when my MA thesis was due. Just remember: student health covers Valium :)
You'll do great, you work too hard not to!
