I have come to a point in my life where I can't make a decision. Will you please help me determine which example of sue happiness is most insane? A woman in Newton, Massachusetts is attempting to sue a sperm donor for child support. A mother and daughter wearing swimming goggles and respirators are suing their neighbor for smoking in his own home. The Michigan Department of Human Services has threatened a Middleville mom with fines and jail time for watching three neighborhood children for about a half an hour before school because she doesn't have a day care license. This is really hard for me dear GentleReader. Please help me to decide which example is the most egregious.  Or better yet add your own to this not-so-illustrious list.

All are equally nutty except that the third one appears to have been a law or Government Imposed REGULATION and thus includes nutty legislators, as well.

The smoking one is the one that makes my un-dead and eee-vul conservative blood boil:

"Williams, the smoker, finally moved to another unit in June after a judge issued a temporary restraining order forbidding her from lighting up in her home. "   The hypochondriac should be the one moving LONG, LONG, LONG before a judge even considers sticking his/her nose into someone elses personal life and dictating what they can or cannot do.

Hmmn...wonder if the one of the czars is eyeing the concept of issueing restraining orders against citizens eating non-obama-approved foods.

I am at a loss as to which of the first 2 is the craziest.
I'm leaning towards the woman sueing the sperm donor. What the heck is she thinking? She CHOSE to use the sperm from the donor, what gives her the right to sue for child support? They must be smoking some good dope up there in Massachusetts!

Smoking in your own home and being sued for it? What will they think of next? Making it illegal to smoke in your car when there is a child in the vehicle? Oh wait, that is law here in CA. Next they will tell us we cannot smoke in our vehicles at all. They tried to do that here.  Or how about passing a law making it illegal to smoke in your home if you live in an attached home, condo, apt., etc. We have that law being pushed through here, in the land of fruits and nuts. Hey, why not? California has a campaign going against all tobacco use. TobaccoFreeCalifornia.gov.....

Is it just me or has the majority of the world gone crazy?

Only the first case is sue-happiness.

The second is mental illness combined with bad government.

The third is just plain bad government.

Actually, the first one might not even be sue-happiness, it could be classified as just straight up extortion.
