hello from the thimbles...

just rolled in from Nashville, TN where we recorded our first album at Fry Pharmacy Studios with Idea man Scott McEwen.  Scott wants a small cornfield behind studio (great Idea!) serious

between smokes in front of old southern doll makers digs, meat n' 3's, and beer runs to piggly wiggly, we laid down 12 live basics to 2 inch tape.  we then slapped on some mandolin, autoharp, piano, hammond organ, bowed guitar, bass (Scott) and fiddle (Avery Anderson).  hound dog provided moral support.

'With prayer, new spirituals, humbly desperate psychedelic waltzes, and a raw and delicate home-down feel, The Thimbles debut is a floating, bottomless hootenanny ripe for the listening.  The veil is a beacon for the truth... the shadows ingrain the crown and fortify their parables in shambles.  Tread soft.'

The record will be self-released spring 2008.
