3 Great Bay Area bands for the price of a call-drink on the second biggest party night of the year!
The Tell-Tale Heartbreakers emerged from the Bay Area's underground music scene in late 2004. Since then, they sculpted their own sound, tearing through the post-punk music scene with tense, guitar and bass-driven songs that reflect the darker side of rock and roll. Their influences run deep, encompassing everything from Gothic Rock, New Wave, Post Punk to Psychobilly. They have recently opened for Information Society and 45 Grave.
The Privies are a new Rock band self described as the bastard child of Elvis, Jim Morrison and Angus Young raised by Slash and Johnny Rotten. Their songs thrive on dark lyrics sung over poppy melancholy melodies. The Privies combine elements of rock, pop and punk, reinventing rock music with the moodiness one feels when listening to Coldplay mixed in with the raw energy that only Jet can deliver.
Luvhed is a Bay Area band who describe themselves as "Testosterone fueled hard rock with an estrogen kicker". Featuring a live sound firmly rooted in classic 70's Hard Rock ala The Stooges, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Black Sabbath they are developing a reputation as a loud, aggressive band with a devoted local fan base. Uncompromising, unpredictable and unapologetic, Luvhed is a band NOT to be missed. To get a small taste of what you might be in for at a Luvhed show, visit www.myspace.com/luvhed
