Well, I hope by now you have already listened to my interview with WZRD.  If not, go have a listen.  WZRD is the best!!!

Well for those of you that haven't listened and have no way of listening, I wanted to explain where I am taking the Hinky Punks.

As you know, you can go to www.thehinkypunksforum.com and download every song that I have ever released.  Including the whole "A Wizard's Diary" record.  Since the forum  started a couple of months ago, there has been about 600 downloads.  That to me is awesome!!  In my opinion, I think my music should be free.  I think this is the way the music industry is turning.  I am not saying I will never sell music, I might do a promotional cd or maybe a special cd for touring that will have unreleased songs.  But for me, I feel I don't need to charge for my music.  I am not saying that charging for your music is a bad thing, it cost a lot of money for equipment and all other things it takes to record a song.  But for me, I enjoy it so much that I wouldn't feel right by charging people to hear me.  Who am I to do such a thing?  I am grateful for everyone that listens to my songs, whether you like me or not or whether you like my music or not, I am thankful you took the time out to listen to just one song.  I am genuinely grateful for all my fans.  You are my inspiration.    So this was a little what was explained in the interview.  It was a really fun interview, so go have a listen.

Please come to the forum, we are having so much fun!!!  There is so much to do there.     www.thehinkypunksforum.com

I hope you understand what I am trying to do here.

If I could give you 10 kudos, I would. I'm in the same boat as you - free music is fantastic. Once all of my stuff is done, it'll all be online and downloadable. I'm toying with the idea of a "real" CD with high quality, non-compressed music on it, and just selling it for what it costs me to make/ship it. If you're like me, you just enjoy making music and people enjoying it is payment enough.

I just listened to the WZRD 'cast (I listen to all the casts at work since that's where my iPod usually synchs) and I have to say, I LOVE old Juliana Theory and Further Seems Forever as well. Great, great stuff.
