Hellllllo,

So, Friday morning, before our show at trois minots, we sat down and took one last look at the mix of our new album before we said goodbye to it forever and gave it to mr. Bryan Martin for the job of cleaning it up and making it stereo friendly.  We never mastered the old EP, so this is new in the process for us, but we are definitely excited that a) it has turned out better than expected, and b) we don't have to work on it anymore. 

All that remains is to figure out an order, though we have ideas, and a name, though we have ideas for that too.  Oh, and put it together in a pretty little package for yas.

We got invited to open for a pretty fuckin' wicked band, goes by the name Go Blind Pilot, by the wicked awesome Blue Skies Turn Black(kinda funny that... not that this show is of the nature of this, but to be contacted by a company who promoted a show you went to, loved, and saved the ticket from- ie, the arcade fire- is kind of a funny feeling).  It's at Il Motore on June 11, and Go Blind Pilot is definitely wicked, and you should definitely be there.  Local Natives is following them around too, so it should be a pretty ridiculous show.

Keeping in the theme of "dreams comin true" is our scheduled appearance at the venerated NXNE festival in Toronto, at Rancho Relaxo on June 20th.  Details will of course follow, but we're pretty stoked about that too.  We've asked to be paid in passes so we can wander around Toronto like we own it while drinking wine on the streets and checking out some sick sick sick sick bands until we finally throw down on the saturday night.

So that's NXNE, and BSTB, for you confused by the subject heading.

Finally, the RELEASE DATE!!!! whoooooooooo!

We are going to be officially releasing this baby in Montreal on July 31 at Salla Rosa, which is also sort of a dream; we've never played there, but have definitely attended a boat load of shows there.

So yes, burnt demo copies of the album WILL be available(as per our normal practice) for free at Il Motore and NXNE, but if you want the real deal you will have to wait until July 31.  We will of course(as per our normal practice) also be releasing it for free online as well.  We are VERY excited.  This album has been our baby for what feels like a long time now, and we think she's ready to leave the nest and fend for herself*sniff* like the big girl she is, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.... which sounds ridiculously dirty, or just bizarre, depending on how you imagine the process through the incredibly convoluted lens of this sentence.
