Dead Congregation “Purifying Consecrated Ground” 12"MLP

(Split release with Nuclear War Now! Records)

Although eclipsed by the epic brilliance of the debut LP that followed, Dead Congregation’s “Purifying Consecrated Ground” MLP released in 2005 is no less broad in scope nor powerful in performance than the work for which they have received so much adoration. Not only did “Purifying Consecrated Ground” provide a foundation for Dead Congregation’s subsequent output, it formed a necessary element of the blueprint for the general resurgence of densely atmospheric and dark death metal that has been proliferated over the past several years. “Purifying Consecrated Ground” portrays a staggering and nightmarish vision with a precision and devotion that is seldom invoked. Although consisting of just five tracks, the effect of the recording is of such magnitude that one cannot disregard it. Indeed, “Purifying Consecrated Ground” should be recognized as a crucial release delivered at a pivotal moment in the history of death metal. Although this recording was previously released on 10" EP, the record lacked effective distribution and should properly have been presented on 12" format. Furthermore, we have also restored the color of the magnificent cover art for this important work.

100 copies in clear vinyl, 400 copies in black vinyl. This is a split release between Nuclear Winter Records (Europe) and Nuclear War Now! Records (USA).
