Chicago Tribune reports that creative spirit DJ Barb Wire died of lung cancer that she had battled for two years.  She is survived by her husband, son and daughter.  A true independent spirit, she was a friend to music that is edgy and real.  She will be greatly missed.  We are happy to have met and known her and to have had the honor of playing her late night (2-6 a.m.) show. We have re-posted the song "Barb Wire Gal" which was inspired by meeting her and getting to know her.  The world needs more like her.  Charlie, Henry, & Jack.
