I will try to get my hands on as many of these as possible. My father used to recommend reading "Things Fall Apart", by Chinua Achebe. I've also recommended it to my son who has absolutely no interest in reading anything I recommend, lol.

Things fall apart is an amazing book you should actually try and read Mhudi by Sol plaatjie and The Wine Drunkard these two were the first African English novels to be written.
