The Little Civic (formerly the Town Hall Tavern) is a three storey building providing office accommodation on the top floor, the booking office and bar on the ground floor, with the first floor capacity of 140 standing, 70 seated, being used as a small pop concert venue,  for comedy nights, meetings, etc.  Long term, it would be desirable and more logical to bring the administration offices and the booking office back into the Civic Hall.  The booking office is run by Midland Box Office, owned by Mike Lloyd who also books the orchestras and sorts out the programmes for the classical concerts.  The staff operating the box office are employed by Midland Box Office.  On Friday and Saturday nights the bar serves as a meeting place for young people and acts as a feeder to the discos in the Civic Hall, Currently open from 6pm until 12.30am. It is intended to move the box office to Queens Square, as part of the Tourist Information Centre.
