The mixing sessions at Ardent Studios have begun - Jac Dalton and Darren Mullan are in Memphis with Gregg Brown and an exciting new member of the mixdown team.
John Hampton is a three-time Grammy Award winning engineer and producer who was taken with Jac's songs when they started to arrive at Ardent, and has come on board to help with the mixing and mastering on the album, which is titled Icarus.
The studio (Ardent Studio B) has been booked until the 21st, and we are expecting progress reports via email and video, including (it is hoped) a progress mix or two. Either way, we will have the glass master by the end of the month, and will be swinging into preparing for pre-release promo as well as completing the CD content and artwork.
A time of focus and application, but also a time of elation as we watch and hear Icarus take on its final form.
The time to fly is at hand.
