Ok so in my ever continuing search for spirituality I decided to read this book about the Dalai Lama's life and his journey in compassion. I found it profoundly thought provoking. There are a two major things that I took out of this book.
One: Concentrating on Happiness and Compassion and cultivating those felling will help push out the negative emotions and thoughts.
Two: Also that I would prefer to be considered wise and kind as opposed to a smart asshole.
Now I think that these should be commonsense and I shouldn't need to be reminded of this but I don't have much commonsense, just ask my father. Now I would suggest this book for anyone to read regardless of religion. It not only talks about compassion from a Buddhist perspective but also tells a small part of the story of the Dalai Lama's live; that in itself is an interesting story. I suggest that you all read this book when you have chance.
