About a few month ago, The Master Colony competed in the regional heat of the Liquidisco Academy Awards 2007 which got them through to the finals held in Manchester at the Tameside Hippodrome.
     A coach full of fans and thousands of others watched bands from different regions of the U.K compete for the grand prize. Voting consisted of an Internet vote open to everybody who registered, panel of industry professionals and of course the audience; add them all together and it worked out the overall winers to be The Master Colony and apparently they "nailed it!"
     An interview and a photoshoot later, the band we're on their way back to Middlesbrough with energetic fans from this outstanding turnout.

  The morning after brought the band to be interviewed and filmed by ITV news which was shot at Staiton Grange House. Now with the well earned publicity, the band now face a bright future in the music industry.
