Greetings from New York, everyone!
I have recently put my head together with a couple of other folks and come up with an inspired idea that I hope you'll like enough to make you want to get on board!
This is not a new idea... I have heard it before and seen it executed in many other places, around the world. It is the same concept that drove EARTH HOUR earlier this year to such great success, and it is the same idea that makes the various EARTH DAY gatherings that take place all over the world, of such impact.
Only I'm talking about... GLOBAL MEDITATION.
If you've been following along with our Spiritual Sunday chats, perhaps you're aware that our guest last week was MARC RICE, Mystic and Rune Master among other things. During the chat and in the days that followed, we discovered that we have a common goal: TO ASSIST OTHERS EXPAND THEIR CONSCIOUSNESS FOR THE PURPOSE OF HEALING OUR SELVES AND OUR WORLD.
Sounds like a magnificent idea, doesn't it? As humans, WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.
During a meditation recently, Marc received the following affirmation:
"I am a human becoming... Help me to become..."
It is a powerful phrase that we feel, has the ability to shift our consciousness, weave us together as a human family, and focus our intent in a significant way. Significant enough, we feel, to effect powerful, positive change in ourselves and for our Earth.
BUT WAIT! What about the folks who don't meditate? Those who haven't meditated much, don't care for it, think they can't do it, think they don't know how? Ah.... don't worry, we've got you covered. In the coming days, be on the look out for some SPECIAL INSTRUCTION just for you, to help you realize that it's easier than you think and yes, YOU CAN MEDITATE --- properly and powerfully.
Wednesday evening, I discussed this very idea with the ladies in my Wiccan 1st Degree Class. We discussed how when one understands how energy works and that we as healers, Witches, mystics, Shamans and spiritual folk, can raise and use our energy to make positive things happen, we become bound by a responsibility to use that power not just to benefit ourselves, but others too.
We are in a time of intense global crisis. There are too many environmental, governmental, social and health-related crises to name. YET AS MYSTICS WE WIELD A POWER THAT CAN WORK TO CHANGE THESE THINGS...
Last night, Marc brought up an excellent point (and you may have read this in his earlier bulletin and blog)... If one person is able to use positive energy to make positive changes in their life, JUST IMAGINE WHAT CAN HAPPEN IF HUNDREDS... THOUSANDS... OR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of individuals ALL RAISE POSITIVE ENERGY FOR A SPECIFIC GOAL, AT THE SAME TIME!

I've reached out to some spiritual leaders I know and to individuals... won't you do the same? Tell everyone to SAVE THE DATE! Put the date and the time on your calendar.
And in the meantime... watch for more updates, some instructional information on meditation and some ideas for how you can join in alone, with a group, or as a community event.
We will also be sending along the information you'll need on the concept and the mantra, so that everyone is on the same page, with the same information and intent, at the same time!
