Hi everyone,

Just got home today from NearFest 2009! A big thanks to all who came and hugs & kisses to all of the crew!

We have some bad news though. Although you've probably already read about this somewhere else we feel that we need to put this out in our own words as well. Beardfish (and Pain of Salvation) have been forced to back out of the Progressive Nation 2009 tour. We're all so devastated about this that we can't even begin to tell you, but the reasons for this were all way beyond our control. Basically we lost our tour support in the midst of SPV (InsideOut's distributor) filing for bankrupcy... Because of this there was NO possible way for us to pay for the tour. We have been replaced by Big Elf and Scale the Summit and we wish these guys + Zappa Plays Zappa and Dream Theater all the luck in the world on the tour! Naturally, with the added regret of us not being there ofcourse - goddamnit!

Really sorry to hear about that Rikard!  I was looking forward to meeting you guys in Chicago.  Hopefully you'll return to the US in the not too distant future.

Any idea when Destined Solitaire samples will be posted?

I am FUCKING CRUSHED!

I understand it isn't yours, or Portnoy's, or DT's fault, but I'd have paid triple to see you guys in the midwest perform standalone, even.

I dooked myself with DELIGHT when I heard DT was bringing you overseas; I'd assumed I'd never get to see Beardfish live.  Not without traveling to an east-coast prog festival.

Sooooo sad. :(  will of course be buying the new album without prejudice, and praying that you get to tour the States eventually.

Hey Guys,

   I'm soooo sorry I won't get to see you & Pain Of Salvation in August in San Jose. I was really looking forward to seeing Beardfish & Pain Of Salvation live. Damn! Oh well, sometimes life is a b**ch, but we carry on anyway. I do hope ya'll get to come out here to California sometime soon so I can se you live. Your band rocks! Take care. This totally sucks!  So sorry for you all.  I was just saying to you last weekend that this tour would surely turn a whole new audience on to your work.  Maybe another opportunity will arise sometime soon for you all, fingers crossed.  Your set at NF totally rocked! One of the best and most melodic of the weekend, and they all were quite good.....

It figures I have to find this out the next day.   I went to the show last nite and I was....so pumped to hear you guys.   I was listenin' to Sleeping in Traffic all day just waiting to see Beardfish.  So...I was completely sadden to see that you guys weren't there.  I guess I should have checked myspace more often, otherwise I might not have gone.  Well, hopefully you guys can come back someday.  Can't wait to hear the new album.   Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeya Doug
