If those who have the Stumbleupon toolbar on their browsers would give Things to do with THE BOX instead of think outside of it... a thumbs up I would really appreciate it.....Thanks!

I got this from Fankie Mayo at Operation AC, an organization that I think is really, really neat, and wanted to share it with you...

Dear Operation AC Supporter,

Although we are known for sending just over 10,000 air conditioners to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, I am pleased to announce a new and very different way to support our troops serving in Afghanistan. I myself will be going to Afghanistan around April 2009. Please keep on my website for news of that trip and you will see me there with this SATCOM gear while I visit our troops and get the program running on the ground there. We currently have one of these devices in Iraq with a Navy Seal team. We also have one unit headed to Afghanistan for use there.

Operation AC launches SATCOM For Soldiers!

WHAT IS BGAN? The Broadband Global Area Network or BGAN for short, is a global Satellite Internet Network with telephony using portable terminals. The terminals are normally used to connect laptop computers to broadband Internet in remote locations the terminal can be used anywhere. The value of BGAN terminals is that unlike other satellite Internet services which require bulky & heavy satellite dishes to connect, a BGAN terminal is smaller than a laptop and thus can be carried anywhere, and used globally.

Please see www.operationac.com more details. This new program puts the focus on our teams of troops deployed in the mountains of Afghanistan who stay out in small encampments for long periods of time without any way to reach home in any way. All funds raised for these terminals will go to buy the terminals and the blocks of time on the SIM cards. We can refill the SIM cards here for the soldiers who have the devices.

We know how hard the economic times are and we know there will soon be no funding for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation in the Defense budget. You may still support our troops in Iraq via our Virtual Carebox system as we focus on working with these teams of troops in Afghanistan who could really use our help. As I always do, I will ask God for help. The Lord provides and so do Operation AC supporters.

God Bless you,

Frankie Mayo

We hope that everyone has a really Fantastic Wednesday, take care and God Bless.....Mikey
