Nowt new. Just moved this video to here so as not to scare people off my profile. I've been writing and illustrating comedy monologues for many years but I usually get other people to perform them. You'll have heard Bernard Wrigley and Bill Maynard on Radio probably. This is my own attempt at doing one - in my native Geordie. You can see why I get other people to record them!!

And no, the chair's not for sale. (The Toon top might be though!!)

One of my monologues. This is from the second book 'More Fairly Truthful Tales' available from my website www.garyhogg.co.uk>

I like Johny Handle, but it sounds better coming from you, just as Lori says

Aw, thanks Lori. A little praise now and then goes a long way.
If you listen to Desmond Carrington BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday he's playing 'The Bartholomew Family Photograph' which I wrote for Bernard Wrigley. I'd be amazed if I get a mention though.
Take care

Thanks Wally, Glad you like it. I've never thought of doing Walter's Mittens. I'll give it a shot. I wrote a lot of them in Lancashire Dialect for Bernard and it's so difficult to convert them back to Geordie. I'm practising The 'Flight Of Oscar's Undies' for next time I have the camera (and time to do some cartoons.) Keep a haad! G.

By the way, have you tried the translation feature, I was wondering how it would cope with Geordie. I just tried the french translation. Johny handle is Johny Poignée:)

Ha ha! I'll let him know. I haven't tried the translation thing but when I was writing the Geordie book the spellcheck gave up after 50 pages 'You have reached your maximum' it said!
