Friday, January 04, 2008

So 2007  is but a thing of the past.  Man what a year.  It was the first full year I've been divorced and let me tell ya, it's hard to relearn how to be single again. Met a great girl, then she broke my heart again.

In the music side of things, I have picked myself back up and put together a new band.  I've been to Tennessee and back to Oklahoma.  I've lost some good friends along the way, but made new ones just the same.  All in all, I'm proud to say that I survived it all, and got a new saying out of it that I live by:  "Don't judge me by the mud on my boot soles."

I hope all of you had a great year and are looking forward to an even better year in 2008.  I am blessed to have each of you as a friend and I can't stress that enough.  Thanks for your friendship, and cheers to many years yet to come!

God Bless!!!

Mike

I will be glad to take a drink with TxGrown, Cheers !

Being single is fun, and unfortunately many never learn it before they leave the home and just get married. "It happens", one of my old friends use to tell me.

"I like the mud on your boots it adds character ! : )".

You are a great friend too ! Thank you for keeping it Country.

Smiles,
Jen

Being single is'nt that bad.... Hell I have been single for almost 23 yrs my daughter was only 6 mths old and she will be 23 in Feb. As long as I can stand on my on two feet I am ok.. If it was Gods will for you to be married he will send the right one to you. And your saying is kinda like what my granda father told me "Life is too short todance in ugly boots keep a smile on your face and not to worry about others your a better person than that.....MY HAT is Off too YOU...

I just have to say one thing "If God brings you to it he will bring you through it!!!" I understand where you are coming from when you say learning to be single is tough. I have learned that I don't miss him it is just someone being there. My dog, Mason, a boxer is always there for me. This might sound crazy, but he winks at me when I am sad. Dogs know when you need them. I don't know what it is like to be divorced; i just hope kids weren't involved because that makes it twice as hard. My neice and nephew had to go through the whole divorce thing. I sometimes feel crazy for not getting married and having children, but I will know when it's right. So many of my friends have gotten married and had kids too soon, which ends in divorce and every other weekend visitation. My g-ma June has always said "you will know when you find that right person" Hope this helps ya!
